Elevator compliance in Little Rock

Downtown Little Rock holds the state’s tallest office buildings and hotel towers, the River Market and Clinton Presidential Center district, and the Capitol complex with its large portfolio of state-owned equipment. UAMS, Baptist Health, CHI St. Vincent and Arkansas Children’s run the hospital elevators; the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Pulaski Technical College add campus portfolios; West Little Rock’s medical and office corridors continue to grow.

Arkansas requires an inspection by a licensed inspector every twelve months, with the report filed within 30 days of the due date, an annual operating permit posted in each car and fees paid on time. Miss the filing and the state sends its own inspector at $350 per unit; miss the fee by 30 days and the penalty is 20 percent. Public owners add procurement rules on top. Most Little Rock owners we meet have the maintenance contract their predecessor signed and have never seen its exclusions list.

How we help Little Rock owners

Elevator Compliance Group is an independent, QEI-licensed inspection and consulting firm. We do not sell maintenance, repairs or modernization, so our work in Little Rock is only for the owner: inspections and inspection witnessing, review of inspection reports and violations, deficiency tracking to verified correction, maintenance contract review, modernization planning and owner representation when the contractor and the inspector disagree.

  • Annual inspections by licensed QEI inspectors with on-time filing to the Elevator Safety Section
  • Permit and fee calendars for state agencies, hospitals and multi-building owners
  • Violation tracking and retrofit planning for older downtown equipment
  • Maintenance contract review before renewal
