About Elevator Compliance Group

A woman-owned, independent elevator and escalator consulting firm that exists for one reason: to protect building owners’ interests.

Elevator Compliance Group provides third-party inspections, compliance oversight and owner-side consulting to building owners, property managers, institutions and public agencies nationwide. Our team brings more than 30 years of combined experience in the elevator industry, and we use it on one side of the table only: yours.

We don’t sell the work we evaluate

Unlike elevator service contractors, we do not sell maintenance, repairs or modernization. That isn’t a marketing line; it is the structure of the business. An inspector who earns nothing from the repairs he writes up writes up what he finds. A consultant with no equipment to sell tells you when a modernization is premature. Independence is what makes our findings worth paying for.

Who we are

Our team is made up of QEI-licensed inspectors and elevator and escalator consultants with long field and engineering careers behind them, recognized for technical knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail. Every inspection, audit and consulting engagement is performed to ASME A17.1/A17.2 and the jurisdiction’s adopted code, and documented so an owner can act on it.

We work closely with owners, property managers, institutions and public agencies to bring clarity to an industry that is often complex and opaque. From inspections and compliance management to modernization planning and maintenance oversight, our role is trusted advisor, always in the owner’s interest.

Nationwide service, local understanding

We are headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina, fifteen minutes from Charlotte, and we have a strong presence across Texas. We support portfolios from single buildings to multi-state asset groups, and we understand how jurisdictional requirements and enforcement practices differ: Texas owners hire their own registered inspector and file with TDLR; North Carolina owners receive a state inspector; South Carolina owners carry LLR operating certificates. Keeping that straight across a portfolio is part of the job.

What we commit to

  • Independent, third-party inspections by QEI-licensed inspectors
  • Regulatory and code compliance, tracked to verified correction
  • Helping owners manage risk and avoid costly failures
  • Clear, actionable guidance for lifecycle planning and capital decisions

Our clients rely on us not just for inspections but for confidence: knowing their vertical transportation assets are being reviewed by professionals who answer only to them.
